Insurance Broker of Record Services: Commercial Lines
The African American Chamber of Commerce of PA, NJ & DE (AACC) is seeking proposals from qualified insurance brokerage firms to serve as its Broker of Record for Commercial Lines.
AACC is conducting a periodic market review of its broker relationship. The selected firm will provide brokerage services for AACC's commercial insurance lines and market each line at its applicable renewal.
AACC's current broker is welcome to respond on the same terms as all other respondents.
Scope of Services
The selected broker will provide services related to the following commercial insurance lines:
- Workers' Compensation and Employers' Liability – November renewal
- Business Owner's Policy (General and Business Liability) – May renewal
- Directors and Officers Liability with Employment Practices Liability – August renewal
Respondents must be able to place statutory workers' compensation coverage for Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, commercial general liability, and directors and officers liability with employment practices liability.
Medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage are not included in this RFP.
Additional carrier information, loss runs, payroll by workers' compensation class code, and current declarations pages will be provided to firms that advance in the process under a written confidentiality undertaking.

What to Submit
Proposals should address:
- Firm profile, ownership, size, years in business and Pennsylvania licensure
- Proposed service team and day-to-day contact
- Nonprofit and membership association experience
- Two references from comparable clients
- Carrier appointments and market access
- Approach to marketing coverage at renewal
- Compensation structure and transparency
- Claims advocacy and workers' compensation premium audit support
- Transition plan and broker of record letter handling
- Potential conflicts of interest
Responses are limited to 15 pages and must be submitted as a single PDF file.

AACC Member Preference
AACC buys from its members. Preference will be given to firms that are AACC members in good standing; however, membership is not required to respond.
