Join us on March 3 from 7:00–8:00 PM at the Free Library of Philadelphia (1901 Vine Street) for an inspiring evening as part of the Philly Voices series.
This free public program features Karla Trotman and Cheryl McKissack Daniel, co-authors of Dark, Dirty, Dangerous: The Black Family Who Built America. In conversation, they will share the remarkable story of their family’s multigenerational leadership in construction and entrepreneurship, offering insight into legacy, resilience, and the lasting impact of Black-owned businesses in shaping America’s infrastructure.
The African American Chamber of Commerce of PA, NJ & DE is proud to serve as a partner organization for the evening. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to elevating the stories, leadership, and economic contributions of Black business leaders across the region.
The event is free and open to the public. We encourage members, partners, and the broader community to attend and be part of this powerful conversation.
