Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation’s annual Community Impact Week

We are pleased to invite you to the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation’s annual Community Impact Week, October 18-24, 2026, and the Community Impact Awards on October 19. During the week, Free Library branches will host events and programs highlighting the many ways literacy shapes our lives and communities. The week will also include the Community Impact Awards, recognizing leaders who advance learning and opportunity in Philadelphia. To kick off the week, the Community Impact Awards will be held on Monday, October 19, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Parkway Central Library (1901 Vine Street). We hope you will join us in celebrating this year's honorees and the work happening across our libraries and city every day. Tickets are $75 and include light bites and refreshments, as well as the awards ceremony. This year we are honoring leaders whose work is strengthening Philadelphia, including: - Carla Thompson Payton, Chief Strategist & Impact Officer for Program Strategy, W.K. Kellogg Foundation - Sara Lomax-Reese, President & CEO, WURD Radio - Jennifer Leith, Executive Director, West Philadelphia Alliance for Children We hope you will join us in celebrating this year's honorees and the work happening across our libraries every day.
